I'm curious, is there anyone that you feel should've won that didn't make it? Of corse the top ten will be the ones talked about for ever and ever until the final one is voted to be the icon, but still.
Should have won as in making it to the top ten or winning by being the zone icon. *grins* Well if you meant the latter, then I'd say Rosey should have made it. You've only got to listen to her audio profile to hear that she has singing ability. It's just unfortunate that she chose a song that didn't show off all she is capable of. The song was kind of in the alto range and she's more of a soprano. lol Did I spell that right? But other than that, I think everyone deserved where they ended up.

I totally agree with Michel! Rosie should certainly have made it into the top 10! No doubt in my mind about that! That girl has an amazing voice!
Rosie's audio profile is beautiful, so I'll agree with the above. She picked that song for a reason, but I still don't think it was the right one. As Michelle said, it didn't show her voice enough.

I think RC could have made it into the top 10 if he had had a better production. Sometimes I think the decision of the judges had more to do with the quality of the production rather than just voice alone.
lol trust me, our decision had very little to do with production. I know that rosie has an awesome voice for one, but we thought, that we made it quite clear, that whatever song they chose to sing had to show off their voices. Not, whatever songs are on their profiles. Honestly, I have to say, it was hard choosing the top ten. You guys have no idea how hard, because there were a lot of really good entries. Seriously, I battled for 3 days, wondering if I should ask the others if we should include Jared or not, but by that time, unfortunately, our roster was full.
I definitely think Rosie (Nothing but Lime, used to be Splattered Cherries) should have made it. And I liked Makiziwe Biko or however you spell her username. I do thinnk that the judges didn't include her because of the recording quality of her submission, but it was a really pretty song, and she had a really pretty voice to go along with it. Sounded like a folk song to me. *SMILE*
Okay, now that I know who Rosie is, I agree with those of you who think she should have made it.
Rosie should have got into top ten.
There's one or two that I think should have made it into the top 10, but my 3 or 4 picks for winning the whole thing all made it, so it's all fine by me.
I like Lauren as well. Rosey, well I thought there was so much production behind it it was hard to hear her voice. Jay squared I liked also. Let's see what else. I think some of the canadates over did the production to a point whare the elaments of the vocals could not be heard well. Or maybe it is just my half hearing ears... Smile.
I really loved Rosie, she definitely should have made it in the top 10 for sure.

I also agree with Jared. Like I've said, now we know the competition is rigged. He was clearly better than most of those who made it to the top ten.

Firstly can I just take the opportunity to thank everybody that took part in the contest. Without wishing to come across as all gushy and unnecessarily over the top, it really is true to say that without you guy's having the balls to submit your entries to this thing we wouldn't have a show. I for one know that not in a million years would I ever have submitted an entry so my deepest respect to everybody that did. You all have more nerve than I.
If I can say this without causing to much acrimony among the Icon staff, then I must agree with the sentiments of many others in this topic by saying that frankly, this top ten wouldn't have been my top ten. I do particularly agree with those who say that Rosy AKA NothingButLime was very unfortunate not to have made the cut but there it is and of course this is the beauty of this competition. Everybody has their own opinions, everybody hears things slightly differently. If we all had exactly the same opinions on who submitted the best entries and which contestants should be the ten finalists then this would be a very boring contest indeed.
Seriously though, thank you all for taking the time and making the effort, regardless of weather or not you got passed those ruthless judges and enjoy the rest of the shows. We've got some fun stuff coming up let me tell you! he he.
